Best Practices
Before
- Avoid alchohol 24 hours before treatment
- Avoid having botox treatment during menstruation period
- Please inform the practitioner if you have injected botulinum toxin within 3 months
- Please inform the practitioner you have done Thermage or Ultherapy within the past three months
- Do not wear any make up on the day of injection
- Do not take aspirin, aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as gentamicin, kanamycin) within 2 weeks before injection of botulinum toxin
- To limit sun exposure on the day of treatment, we recommend bringing a cap/hat and a pair of sunglasses. please bring a hat and sunglasses
After
- Do not drink alcohol within 24 hours, and avoid spicy food, shelled seafood and beef
- No strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- You can wash your face and take a bath on the same day
- Do not apply skin care products to the needle eye within 24 hours, and do not rub the injection site
Result
- 2-3 days to start to have effect, Botox effect can last 3-6 months

You are not a suitable candidate for Toxin Treatment if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have untreated epilepsy or porphyria
- Tend to develop hypertrophic scarring
- Are hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid and/or to gram-positive bacterial proteins
- Are hypersensitivity to lidocaine or to amide-type local anaesthetics, the product constituents or excipients
- Have areas presenting cutaneous

- Have a history of anaphylactic shock
- Have acute rheumatic fever with heart complications
- Are currently taking drugs that reduce or inhibit hepatic metabolism, such as cimetidine and beta-blockers
- Have been treated with a permanent implant in the proposed treatment area

- Have inflammatory and/or infectious process (acne, herpes, etc.)
- Are currently undergoing laser, deep chemical peels or dermabrasion
- Suffer from, or have a history of, autoimmune disease or autoimmune deficiency
- Are undergoing immunosuppressive therapy
- Have severe and/or multiple allergies
- Are showing symptoms of cardiac conduction disorders
- Have a history of streptococcal disease
- Have body dysmorphic disorder
- Have abnormally thin skin or skin atrophy
- Patients on anti-coagulation medication or using substances that can prolong bleeding
About Botox
Botulinum Toxin A (more commonly known as Botox) is the protein complex derived from the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum. Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. It interferes with the nerve stimulation of the muscles causing excess facial expressions. This relaxes the muscles in the injected part, helping to smooth out your skin and prevent wrinkle formation.

The practitioner uses a small needle to inject Botox into targeted muscles. This discomfort is minor. There is minimal downtime or recovery. You will be able to return to your normal routine immediately after the injection.
Procedure is bearable even without numbing cream. Ice pack may be applied.
All Botox injections have minimal to no downtime. You are usually able to resume daily activities immediately after the treatment. There may be some redness and swelling immediately after the injection. You may also experience some mild soreness and muscle weakness in the injected part for a few days.
