You are not a suitable candidate for Hydrafacial Treatment if you:

  • Have active acne 
  • Have infectionslesions or coldsores
  • Have sunburn, eczema or rash
  • Have autoimmune disease, HIV, lupus, hepatitis, scleroderma 
  • Are on anticoagulants therapy
  • Have melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy 
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding 
  • Are taking accutane or similar medications in the past 6 months

  • Have acne prone skin
  • Have thin skin
  • Have neurological disorders such as epilepsy as LED light therapy may trigger a seizures 
  • Have infection in the urinary system, kidnevs bladder, urethra, crohn’s disease, hyperthyroidism, deep venous thrombosis, lymphedema as you may not be a suitable candidate for a lymphatic drainage
  • Have cold sores on the lip, eye infection or cortisone or steroid injections as you may not be a suitable candidate for Perks treatment
  • Are allergic to aspirin as you might not be suitable for some hydrafacial materials such as Glysal and Beta-HD Clear Skin sSolution.

Pre-treatment Guidelines

  • No sun exposure for two weeks prior to treatment
  • Avoid exfoliation skincare routines such as peels, exfoliation, etc. for two weeks prior to hydrafacial treatment
  • The overall operation time is usually 1 hour
  • Please inform the therapist in advance if you have done other skin treatment within one month before the operation (M22, Portenza etc.)
  • To limit sun exposure on the day of treatment, we recommend bringing a cap/hat and a pair of sunglasses. 

Hydrafacial Aftercare

  • The postoperative treatment area should be moderately moisturized and protected from sun protection, such as parasols, hats and masks to block ultraviolet rays.
  • 24 hours after the operation, it is not advisable to make up, hot springs, saunas, hot baths, and wash your face with warm and cool water within 3-5 days.
  • If metabolic acne occurs after surgery, do not squeeze or vigorously wash the area with bare hands, but do a good job of moisturizing to make it fall off naturally.
  • You should get enough sleep after the operation, avoid smoking, drinking, and reduce irritating food (such as: spicy, greasy) within a week.
  • Within one week after the operation, suspend the use of acid, vitamin C, alcohol-containing skin care products and exfoliating products.
  • Within a week after treatment, you need to apply SPF50 sunscreen.
