Who is suitable for Profhilo?
Male and female with below skin concerns:

You are not a suitable candidate for Profhilo if you are:
- Pregnant or breast-feeding
- Have a history of hypersensitivity to one of the components of the products tested (hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, vitamins), of anaphylactic shock or severe allergy
- Have a history of autoimmune disease or disease affecting the immune system (type I diabetes, polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriasis, thyroid disorder, scleroderma, inflammatory intestinal disease, lupus, multiple sclerosis. ulcerative colitis)
- Have a pathology (herpes, acne, rosacea) or unhealed skin alteration
- Have had or have complications after a surgery during the past 5 years
- Have previous injection of permanent products (silicone, acrylic polymers, dextran)
- Have untreated infectious periodontitis, cellulitis of dental or ENT origin, dental abscess untreated or treated less than one week ago
- Are in association with a peeling, a laser treatment or based on ultrasound

Best Practices
Before Treatment
- Redness, bruising, ecchymosis, hematomas, edema, itching, mild pain at the injection point which may occur after the injection and is resorbed after 24 hours to 8 days (on average within 72 hours);
- Indurations or nodules which may occur at the injection point 15 days to 3 months after the injection;
- You may also observe discoloration of the injection zone but it is usually temporary and will go away in 5-7 days
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours before treatment
- Avoid having treatment during menstruation period
- Please inform the practitioner if you have had any dermal fillers injection before treatment
- Please inform our practitioner if you have done Thermage/Ultherapy/Hifu or similar treatment upon consultation
- Come in bare skin on the treatment day
- If you have autoimmune diseases, diabetics, or take blood-thinning drugs, please inform your doctor in advance
- To limit sun exposure on the day of treatment, we recommend bringing a cap/hat and a pair of sunglasses
After Treatment
- No swimming within 24 hours
- No strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- You can wash your face same day
- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours and avoid spicy food, shellfish and beef
- Makeup can be applied after 24 hours
- No skin care products on needle wound area within 24 hours
- Do not rub the injection site within two weeks, and do not take a sauna

The full effects of Profhilo take up to 12 weeks after the first treatment, as the bio-remodelling process takes time to complete. The results of Profhilo usually last for 6-8 months which the procedure needs to be repeated to maintain the effects.
Profhilo is a pure hyaluronic acid, without any chemical cross-linking compounds. It is biocompatible and can be broken down by the body completely. Therefore, it has little to no risks of causing inflammatory granulomas.
Most patients are able to continue with their usual activities immediately after treatment. As with most injectable treatments, there may be bruising and soreness at the injection points for 1-2 days after the procedures. A small bump at the injection site may be observed immediately after the procedure. It should resolve in a few hours as the product diffuses and spreads under the skin.
