About Potenza RF Microneedling

Potenza is a microneedling device that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to enhance traditional microneedling treatments. Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves creating controlled micro-injuries to the skin using tiny needles, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response and collagen production. The addition of radiofrequency energy in devices like Potenza aims to further improve the effectiveness of microneedling by delivering heat to the deeper layers of the skin.

Potenza microneedling with RF can improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, and promote a more youthful and radiant complexion. reatment: Potenza allows for customizable treatment depth and intensity. This flexibility enables medical professionals to tailor treatments to the specific needs and concerns of each patient.

How does Potenza RF Microneedling work?

Collagen is remodelled and elastin is improved through the wound healing response.

  • Heat is applied to the epidermis creating an Inflammatory Phase (1-3 days).
    i. Early contraction of blood vessels (5-10 minutes)
ii. Vasodilation in order to increase blood supply (multiple hours to 1-3 days)
iii. Cells (macrophages, neutrophils, etc) infiltrate the damaged area to remove dead/damaged tissue and destroy bacteria.
  • Proliferative Phase – 3 weeks Ongoing Process to repair tissue.
Day 2-3 — Fibroblast activity is induced in damaged tissue. Fibroblasts multiply, send mediators to stimulate repair, combining with damaged tissue
Day 5-7 — Fibroblasts begin synthesis of collagen. (Day 7-21)
Day 7-21 — Old collagen is removed by collagenase

  • Maturation Phase – 3 weeks to 6 months and beyond.
    i. New collagen is generated
ii. Elastin becomes more uniform and the quality is improved
